birthday in 2023. Despite global wars, stock market crashes, recessions, tech booms and busts, Salivan continues to thrive and grow. Salivan is a full-service grounds management company offering landscape maintenance, landscape construction, municipal tree planting, interior plant care and snow removal services to commercial, developer & builder, municipal and multi-tenant residential clients across the Greater Toronto Area.
Salivan has established an enviable reputation in the higher end market for innovation, quality and customer service that differentiates it from others. It specializes in complex construction jobs and grounds management that increase the value of properties by using our expertise to develop and manage the implementation of design plans.
Mission of the Position
The mission of this role is to proactively plan and drive growth across existing and new clients and/or services using a consultative and relationship approach.
The ultimate goal is to deliver a fulsome Landscape Management Solution to clients that incorporates all of the broad array of services available from Salivan. These services may exist already within the Salivan portfolio while others could be new. The creation of new services would be market-driven based on the requirements of clients.
This position reports to the General Manager of Salivan.
Outcomes
The key outcomes by which this position will be measured are as follows:
1. Client relationships, new and existing, that use multiple services.
2. Identify and launch new and profitable services.
3. A productive working relationship with other Salivan managers and leadership.
4. Well-prepared, written annual plans that identify the resources required to achieve stated goals.

Other Requirements
· At least 5 years of B2B business development / sales experience with property managers and/or facilities managers.
· Field management experience within a landscaping environment would be considered an asset.
· Experience in selling landscaping services would be considered an asset.
· A self-starter.
· Comfortable with cold-calling clients in person and by phone.
· A university degree.
· Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills.
· Proficient with the use of ERP and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office.
Compensation
The compensation is comprised of base salary, commission and discretionary bonus with an annual expected cash compensation target of $100,000 to $130,000,depending on how successful the candidate is in achieving stated goals. Health and dental benefits, paid vacation and a company vehicle are also part of the compensation package.
