The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant reports to the Manager, Financial Reporting, and is responsible for the accounting functions related to the preparation of financial statements for investment companies in accordance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS and ASPE and supporting audit of financial statements.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Prepares financial statements, including footnote disclosures, for multiple clients (unregistered U.S. and Canadian based investment companies) in compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS and ASPE;
- Prepares standardized supporting work papers to support amounts and disclosures reflected on financial statements;
- Responds to audit inquiries related to financial statements;
- Communicates with the client and responds to client inquiries related to preparation of financial statements;
- Works closely with fund accounting department to gain an understanding of activities recorded on accounting side and determines how activity should be reported in the financial statements.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is a must;
- 2 + years of experience preparing financial statements for investment companies or 3+ years of general accounting experience within financial industry is a must;
- Accounting designation and/or public accounting experience auditing financial statements of investment companies is an asset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to perform highly detailed work;
- Ability to work under intensive deadlines and handle competing priorities;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
