**Summary**

The **Junior Costing Estimator **is responsible for assisting in the preparation of electronic (CAD) working plans and technical drawings for foam packaging and case inserts from preliminary concepts, drawings, specification sheets and other data. The **Junior Cost Estimator** will be responsible for coordinating the creation of project specifications, and complete documentation packages with internal stakeholders.

**Junior Cost Estimator Duties**
- Work with sales staff and customers to develop design solutions that will meet customer needs
- Read and interpret drawings, spec sheets, and other data provided by customers or sales staff
- Aid in design products and create manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks (junior level)
- Create instructions for the manufacturing of products
- Organize and maintain a design and CAD digital file database for each project
- Determine products and manufacturing specifications required for job completion
- Prepare quotations for Sales department
- Prepare First Part Approval documentation per ISO standards

**Junior Cost Estimator Requirements**
- Experience reading CAD drawings and blueprints
- Experience in cost estimating a requirement
- Experience with solid modeling and generation of detailed drawings using SolidWorks is an asset
- Strong mathematical and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (junior to intermediate level) is an asset.
- CNC router experience (programming) is an asset
- Comfortable working in both Metric and Imperial environments

**Work Conditions**
- Office setting, Monday through Friday
- Occasional overtime may be required

- Langley, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cost Estimating: 1 year (preferred)
- CAD Drawings & Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)
