Role summary:
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, support business objectives, and drive engagement across key audiences. This role oversees the development of high-quality marketing materials, event and sponsorship strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, while managing and mentoring one direct report: the Marketing & Communications Coordinator.

The Marketing Manager plays a critical role in translating strategic priorities into actionable marketing programs and ensuring consistency, quality, and impact across all marketing touchpoints.

This position is fully onsite and working from one of our office locations in Dartmouth or Bedford, Nova Scotia. Currently, the working hours for this role are between 8am to 5pm. Please note that as our company evolves, working arrangements, locations, and hours may change to meet business needs.

Responsibilities include:

•    Lead the planning, development, and execution of marketing initiatives that support corporate, product, and brand objectives.


•    Oversee the creation of marketing materials including brochures, sell sheets, technical white papers, presentations, case studies, posters, and digital assets.


•    Manage and coordinate the company's participation in trade shows, conferences, speaking engagements, media events, on-site visits, and internal events such as Town Halls.


•    Develop, manage, and activate sponsorships to ensure alignment with brand positioning and marketing goals.


•    Serve as the primary point of contact for creative partners and vendors, overseeing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.


•    Collaborate closely with team members and external vendors to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and campaign execution across all channels.


•    Manage, mentor, and support the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, providing direction, feedback, and professional development.


•    Track and report on marketing activities and performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.


•    Support additional marketing initiatives and strategic projects as required by the Director of Marketing & Communications.


•    Other duties as assigned.

You are:

•    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.


•    5–8 years of progressive experience in marketing, with demonstrated ownership of campaigns, content, and events.


•    Proven experience managing or mentoring junior team members.


•    Strong creative and strategic thinking skills, with experience overseeing visual and written content development.


•    Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.


•    Experience with event planning, trade shows, and sponsorship management.


•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
