What you will do

Perform installation, integrations, commissioning, and service activities on access control systems, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and intercom systems.

How you will do it

• Install and inspect equipment to meet customer expectations and manufacturer specifications.
• Field coordination and communication, system programming, integrations, commissioning, AHJ testing, and training on new system installations
• Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing, as well as troubleshooting potential field wiring problems
• Provide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost-effective method for restoring a particular system to normal condition
• Manage assigned Electronic Systems service calls regarding field labour hours estimated
• Customer satisfaction through coordination, response to customer requests, and problem resolution
• Prepare reports on daily activities
• May be required to work overtime
• May be required to work out of town
• Read and understand complicated blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, software/system programs, and operation/product manuals
• Capable of working in cramped workspaces such as ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
• Required to work at heights – Ladders/AWP
• Must adhere to all JCI safety policies and procedures
• Complete mileage and monthly vehicle reports on time

What we look for

Required

• Experience with Servers and different operating systems
• Working knowledge of personal computers (Windows 10, Server 2016) and Microsoft's suite of Office software
• Working knowledge of IT network systems
• Ability to use hand and power tools and test equipment such as multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters, and communication devices as required
• Able to carry and move equipment/tools weighing up to 40 pounds
• Demonstrated working knowledge of electricity and electronics
• Experience with installation and service of access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom systems
• Minimum high school/trade school graduate, 2-year Associate degree in a technical field involving electronics or computers preferred
• Ability to work effectively independently
• Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs
• Demonstrated a high level of customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in an environment that may involve climbing ladders and scaffolds with equipment
• Ability to work on an Aerial Work Platform
• Ability to read and understand complex building architectural and electrical documents, as well as project plans, specifications, schedules, and equipment installation/operation/troubleshooting manuals.
• Security experience with C-Cure 9000, Kantech, Genetec, Lenel/S2, Milestone, Exacq, Avigilon, DSC, Commend, AIPhone

Preferred

• CCURE 9000 or Genetec certification

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $ $36.41 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
