Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packer to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently packing, loading, and preparing products for shipment while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and inventory management systems. Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving is a plus. The position offers opportunities to work with various types of products and vendors, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring smooth logistics flow within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Pack products accurately according to order specifications and quality standards
  • Load and unload materials using heavy equipment such as forklifts, etc.
  • Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and shipments
  • Assist with order picking and ensure correct items are selected for dispatch
  • Manage shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and labeling
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move products within the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members on warehouse distribution tasks and process improvements
  • Support warehouse management in inventory control and stock replenishment

Experience

  • Prior experience in warehouse distribution or related fields such as shipping & receiving is preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or load/unload machinery is advantageous
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker operations is beneficial
  • Experience with heavy lifting, order picking, and the operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail and safety compliance

This role is essential for ensuring efficient warehouse operations and timely shipment processing. Candidates should be prepared to handle physical demands associated with heavy lifting and equipment operation while maintaining a focus on safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
