Document Law Clerk / Remote Role with Friendly Law Firm
Salary range based on experience. 65-74k Plus Benefits
Position Summary:
Our client, a small Toronto based very friendly boutique law firm that specializes in litigation is adding an additional Law Clerk. You must have relevant experience as a clerk and someone who can provide essential documentation support to the lawyers with a focus on preparing hearing briefs, disclosure materials, and managing case documentation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Individuals that are looking for a 100% remote role might find this to be an ideal opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, compile, and format
hearing briefs
,
case conference briefs
, and
settlement briefs
in accordance with court rules and firm standards. - Prepare and organize
disclosure materials
, including affidavits of documents, exhibits, and supporting evidence. - Review, summarize, and index discovery transcripts and documentary evidence.
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court staff to coordinate filings, service, and scheduling.
- Maintain and update litigation files, ensuring all deadlines are diarized and met.
- Assist in trial preparation, including witness lists, exhibit binders, and courtroom logistics.
- Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Law Clerk Diploma is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of litigation law clerk experience is a MUST
- Proficiency in Adobe and MS Office Suite is a MUST .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
