Mid-Level Technical Sales Representative / Sales Engineer (Level II)

Location: Burlington, ON

Why This Role Exists

This role exists to drive revenue growth and ensure continuity of technical expertise as part of a long-term succession plan.

You will work closely with the Director of Technical Sales & Engineering to:

  • Grow and support existing strategic customers
  • Develop your own customer base using a provided leads list
  • Gradually assume greater technical and commercial responsibility

You are not a sales manager.

You are a future technical leader who sells.

  • You independently manage technical sales opportunities
  • Customers engage you directly for technical guidance
  • You meaningfully support and expand the Director's key accounts
  • You are viewed internally as a trusted technical and commercial resource

What You'll Do

Sales & Account Ownership

  • Develop and manage your own customer portfolio
  • Actively pursue opportunities from a provided leads list
  • Prospect within targeted industries and applications
  • Own opportunities from discovery through close
  • Support and expand business within the Director's existing accounts
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM discipline

Technical & Solution Leadership

  • Lead application reviews and battery system specifications
  • Collaborate with the Director on complex engineered solutions
  • Translate customer requirements into commercially viable systems
  • Provide technical credibility during customer meetings and negotiations
  • Support long-term knowledge transfer and documentation

Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Operations for smooth execution
  • Provide technical input for marketing and case studies
  • Participate in EOS Level 10 meetings

The Exceptional Candidate

You likely:

  • Have 3–7+ years of B2B technical or industrial sales experience
  • Come from electronics, electrical, industrial, or engineered products
  • Are consultative and technically credible with customers
  • Enjoy autonomy, ownership, and accountability
  • Want a long-term role with influence and progression

This Role Is NOT For You If…

  • You want a sales management title without selling
  • You expect fast results — this role requires comfort with cold calling, trade shows, and sustained effort, with the understanding that building a strong book of business typically takes 6–12 months
  • You are uncomfortable owning customer relationships end-to-end

$65,000 – $80,000 plus commission (3% of sales) and bonus
