Role Description:

• We are looking for a motivated Big Data QE with a passion for P&C Insurance.

• As a Big data QE, you will be responsible for assisting in various projects related to Data testing projects.

• You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals building high test strategy to match design specifications, standards, and user requirements and testing components in an iterative manner through an Agile process

• Write and execute queries GCP Big query and execute along with analysis in

• ETL and DB testing, Data migration, Report validations

• Expert in writing/understanding complex SQL queries

• Design and execute test cases in a Big Data environment

Required Skill Set:

• Collaborate with senior team members to gather requirements and for review of test strategy

• Testing of GCP applications

• Work with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

• Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and progress.

• Good years of overall experience within Data testing

• Knowledge of GCP Big Query, Python and Pyspark

• Experience in ETL and DB testing, Data migration, Report validations

• Experience in Expert in writing/understanding complex SQL queries

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Desired Skill Set:

• Hands-on experience in ETL and DB testing, Data migration, Report validations

• GCP Big Query knowledge

• Pyspark /Python experience

• Expert in writing/understanding complex SQL queries

• Advanced knowledge if Bigdata concepts and technologies (Hive, Impala, Pentaho, HBase, Hadoop etc.)

• Exposure to the Property and Auto insurance business domain, Knowledge on Guidewire

• Should have worked on Agile projects.

• In-depth understanding of database management systems and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework

• Expert SQL development skills

• Experience with NoSQL Systems

• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.

• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

• Good years of software / application design and development experience in a true Agile / Scrum / XP environment with proven skill and effectiveness in the use of Agile SDLC methodologies

• Good communication skills

Salary Range
- CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
