About the Opportunity:
As an Assistant Field Manager at Homestar Group, you will gain hands-on experience in assisting with the management of diverse projects across various trades from start to finish. This role is designed for individuals eager to develop their project management skills while learning more about trades such as carpentry, landscaping, construction, renovations, and property management. You will work closely with a Project Manager, gaining practical insights and guidance throughout your training.
Location: Quispamsis, New Brunswick
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
What You'll Do:
- Establish and maintain open communication with clients, management, and employees by building and improving relationships.
- Listen to clients to ensure clear expectations and requirements, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Schedule employees to job sites, prioritizing projects and tasks based on urgency.
- Lead the team by example to achieve desired results.
- Understand building codes, project drawings, contracts, and specifications in detail.
- Maintain a continuous focus on profitability.
- Balance exceptional customer service with company goals in daily activities.
- Ensure on-time completion of projects and work orders.
- Maximize profitability through efficiency, cost control, and identifying opportunities.
- Be solution-oriented in all aspects of the role.
- Organize and schedule appointments effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of estimates.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, and scanning.
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers about current workflow and scheduling.
What We're Looking For:
- Understanding and hands-on experience in diverse trades is essential.
- Previous experience managing construction projects is required.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing teams.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Previous experience using power tools and equipment is required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Reliable and punctual.
