Mott MacDonald is looking for a Natural Sciences Advisory Consultant to join our growing team in Vancouver and Toronto and support a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and development projects across Canada.

This role is ideal for candidates with approximately 3 years of professional experience, with a passion for delivering impactful solutions in areas such as environmental, climate change, and sustainability assessment.

As a Natural Sciences Advisory Consultant, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients in delivering projects spanning various scales, locations and lifecycle stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct background research and analysis to support project objectives
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and client use
  • Manage data collection and organization
  • Develop environmental management plans for a variety of infrastructure projects
  • Provide input into environmental, sustainability and climate change aspects of infrastructure projects
  • Support climate change risk and resilience assessments for a variety of projects
  • Provide inputs to sustainability reporting requirements (e.g. LEED and Envision) on megaprojects
  • Execute tasks and workstreams across multiple projects
  • Provide client support and contribute to stakeholder engagement
  • Assist in project management activities
  • Participate in ongoing learning and development initiatives
  • Growing a professional network
  • Willingness to travel
  • We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant natural science discipline
  • Approximately 3 years of professional experience in Canada
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Professional accreditation or in-training accreditation preferred

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $80,000 - $98,000.

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range
