Mott MacDonald is looking for a Natural Sciences Advisory Consultant to join our growing team in Vancouver and Toronto and support a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and development projects across Canada.
This role is ideal for candidates with approximately 3 years of professional experience, with a passion for delivering impactful solutions in areas such as environmental, climate change, and sustainability assessment.
As a Natural Sciences Advisory Consultant, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients in delivering projects spanning various scales, locations and lifecycle stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct background research and analysis to support project objectives
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and client use
- Manage data collection and organization
- Develop environmental management plans for a variety of infrastructure projects
- Provide input into environmental, sustainability and climate change aspects of infrastructure projects
- Support climate change risk and resilience assessments for a variety of projects
- Provide inputs to sustainability reporting requirements (e.g. LEED and Envision) on megaprojects
- Execute tasks and workstreams across multiple projects
- Provide client support and contribute to stakeholder engagement
- Assist in project management activities
- Participate in ongoing learning and development initiatives
- Growing a professional network
- Willingness to travel
- We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant natural science discipline
- Approximately 3 years of professional experience in Canada
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Professional accreditation or in-training accreditation preferred

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $80,000 - $98,000.
Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range
