As our Mechanic, you can expect to be engaged in the day to day operations at a very high level. The following duties and responsibilities will outline the role along with what an ideal candidate will have for past job experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet.
  • Carrying out diagnostic tests and repairs to a variety of vehicles and equipment using modern maintenance practices.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairs to components on construction equipment.
  • Ensures all Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Follows and abides by all Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and Regulations.
  • Read diagrams/schematics and manufacturers repair manuals for work procedures.
  • Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair and maintain various heavy duty vehicles and large construction equipment according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including complex electrical diagnosis.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work as required.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience working on various sized Heavy Trucks and Heavy Equipment.
  • Valid 310T designation
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Dual tickets will be considered an asset
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate problems and organizational performance in order to assess efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to work outdoors in difficult conditions caused by snow, dust, temperature changes, and weather
  • Ability to use workplace technology and tools
  • Must have own set of necessary tools
