Compensation:
As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support our Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Emergency & Critical Care teams in delivering high-level care. You'll be an essential part of our patient care flow — whether you're preparing an ER tray, comforting a hospitalized patient, or keeping our clinic running smoothly.
Your day-to-day may include:Assisting with diagnostics and procedures like Fine Needle Aspirates, Tru-Cut Biopsies, and surgical anesthetic setupsProviding compassionate restraint and ensuring safety for patients and team membersKeeping patients comfortable with clean bedding and gentle handlingCleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and maintaining aseptic techniqueSupporting surgery teams on procedures such as fracture repairs and mass removalsHelping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environmentWhat We're Looking For:A high school diploma (Post-Secondary Animal Care Program preferred)Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in animal care (clinic, shelter, wildlife center, etc.)A calm, confident presence with strong communication and teamwork skillsSomeone who can multitask under pressure and provide excellent client careWhy Choose CTVRC/EC?
