Director, Technology Risk

Agilus' client is a global leader in financial services with billions under asset management.

This leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the organization's technology risk management strategy. It involves overseeing compliance, operational risk, vendor risk, and business continuity planning, while driving innovation and continuous improvement across risk frameworks and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on technology risk and controls.
  • Ensure controls meet regulatory, legal, and industry standards.
  • Align technology risk assessments with broader business risk strategies.
  • Lead global programs to maintain accurate representation of technology operations.
  • Enhance operational risk frameworks and lifecycle processes.
  • Drive change initiatives to improve technology risk awareness and management.
  • Establish and maintain data protection frameworks for personal data.
  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Support business continuity planning and execution during actual events.
  • Collaborate on recovery strategies and ensure thorough testing and documentation.
  • Oversee change management processes, including approvals and risk ratings.
  • Maintain configuration databases and ensure proper ownership and governance.
  • Lead and coach team members, manage performance appraisals, and foster engagement.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, accountability, and project leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of risk, audit, and technology's role in financial services.
  • Ability to influence across all levels and drive strategic initiatives.
  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional designation in audit, risk management, or internal controls (e.g., ISACA).

Preferred Assets

  • Familiarity with industry frameworks (NIST, ISO, ISACA).
  • CSC or IFIC CA designation (completed or in progress).
