We are currently looking for Host(ess) who share the same passion as us to join our dynamic team and be ambassadors of our brand. The ideal candidate hospitality experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for creating memorable dining experiences and leads by example. If this sounds like you, we invite you to join our team at Okini Restaurant and Bar. The right candidate will have the opportunity to advance into other positions.

Responsibilties:

  • Guest greeting: Welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude. Manage the seating chart efficiently and ensure guests are promptly seated, providing them with menus and any necessary information.
  • Reservation management: Handle incoming reservations, both online and over the phone. Keep an organized record of reservations and ensure a smooth flow of seating, balancing reservations with walk-in guests.
  • Communication hub: Serve as the communication hub between the front of house and back of house teams. Relay important information about reservations, special requests, and guest preferences to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Waitlist management: Maintain an organized waitlist during peak hours. Provide accurate wait time estimates and keep guests informed of their status. Manage the flow of guests in the waiting area.
  • Guest assistance: Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests they may have. Provide information about the menu, daily specials, and promotions.
  • Maintaining a tidy entrance: Keep the entrance area clean and organized. Ensure menus are in good condition, and the waiting area is inviting for guests.
  • Collaboration with the team: Work closely with servers, bussers, and other staff members to ensure a coordinated effort in delivering excellent service. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
