Job Summary

Want a job where you get to work with your hands, stay active, and make a difference for the planet and your community? As a Recycling Technician, you'll be right at the heart of our emergency restoration team, cleaning up after floods, fires, and disasters while helping keep reusable materials out of the landfill.

You'll work side-by-side with an awesome crew, tackle real-world challenges, and build useful skills with tools and equipment. Plus, you'll be helping restore lives, the planet, and communities, one job site at a time.

Responsibilities
  • Remove leftover building materials and follow instructions from team leads.
  • Sort debris, recycling, and reusable materials.
  • Help clean up after emergencies like floods and fires.
  • Drive or ride in company vehicles (keep them clean and organized).
  • Team up with demo, emergency and construction crews.
  • Talk with coworkers and customers about recycling and green practices.
  • Fill out paperwork and forms for recycling and job tasks.
  • Help improve how we sort, recycle, and track waste.
  • Use tools and machines like pallet jacks, forklifts, and balers (training provided).
  • Keep the warehouse recycling area clean and organized.
  • Help load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
  • Use industry-leading apps and tools like Restorify and Eco-Claim to track work and recycling data.
Requirements
  • A valid BC driver's license (Class 5 or N) with a clean driving record.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 140 lbs).
  • Comfortable driving or riding in a 5-ton truck.
  • Positive attitude and good attention to detail.
  • Enjoys driving and working in different locations.
  • Good at working alone or with a team.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, computers and apps, like Microsoft Office or Eco-Claim.
  • Experience with tools or restoration work is a bonus.
  • Follows safety rules and knows how to use PPE.
  • Clear criminal record check (required when hired).

  • Wage: $ $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
