Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a straight box truck with a G license to deliver goods across designated routes
  • Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
  • Ensure accurate loading, securing, and verification of shipments before departure
  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
  • Follow planned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness of the truck
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock, and organizing deliveries

Requirements

  • Valid G license with proven experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
  • Prior delivery driver experience, especially route driving in urban or suburban areas
  • Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients
  • Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform manual lifting tasks safely
  • Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures, forklift operation (certification preferred), and pallet jack use
  • Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques, moving equipment, and safety protocols
  • Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with traffic regulations
