We're looking for a talented CAD Designer to join our team and help transform client visions into buildable realities.

Role Overview

As our CAD Designer, you'll play a critical role in the design and production process. You'll be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and layouts for kitchen cabinetry and related components using Mozaik and occasionally AutoCAD. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, installers, and clients to ensure every design is accurate, functional, and aligned with project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Development
  • Create precise 2D and 3D drawings for custom kitchen layouts, cabinetry, and millwork using Mozaik and sometimes AutoCAD.
  • Interpret client sketches, architectural plans, and design briefs to develop comprehensive technical drawings
  • Generate elevation views, cross-sections, and exploded diagrams for production and installation teams
  • Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with project managers, installers, and fabricators to ensure drawings meet build specifications and timelines
  • Revise and update drawings based on site measurements, client feedback, and engineering requirements
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams to resolve design challenges and ensure project alignment
  • Documentation & Standards
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, cut lists, and material specifications for manufacturing
  • Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Organize and manage drawing files, version control, and project documentation
  • Software & Workflow
  • Use Mozaik to generate cabinet layouts, optimize material usage, and prepare CNC-ready files
  • Maintain proficiency in AutoCAD and stay updated on software features and best practices
  • Assist in developing templates, libraries, and workflows to improve design efficiency

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
  • Experience with Mozaik is a strong asset — or a demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong understanding of kitchen design principles, cabinetry construction, and spatial planning
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and mechanical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Diploma or certificate in CAD design, architectural technology, or related field preferred
  • Experience in millwork, interior design, or construction is a plus

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with CNC programming or cabinet manufacturing processes
  • Experience with other design tools (e.g., SketchUp, Revit, Fusion 360)
  • Knowledge of materials, hardware, and installation techniques
  • Ability to visualize and present design concepts to clients

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
