The BJ Energy Solutions ("BJ") team is looking for passionate team members to help BJ innovate and transition the world's Oil & Gas Industry to a higher level of sustainable practices. As a critical team member, you will contribute to a lower-carbon energy solution and industry-leading technology platform - TITAN.
Location: Calgary, Alberta.
JOB PURPOSE
The Technical Fracturing Specialist is based out of our Calgary office and provides technical support for hydraulic fracturing projects. The selected candidate will prepare frac designs, present technical reports, and prepare operational strategies and objectives for our Canadian Operations.
Responsibilities
- Preparing frac designs and reviewing frac treatments
- Alliance Engineer - Real-time Satellite frac monitoring (when required)
- Preparing and distributing post-job reports and fluid disclosure summaries
- Performing advanced tasks with the Excel, Power BI, and Data Acquisition Software
- Providing technical support and training for Field Supervisors and Operators
- Manages workload to ensure timely, efficient, and effective completion of assigned projects and tasks
- Promotes a safe workplace, follows safety standards, and complies with statutory regulations and organizational safety requirements
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues and clients while exhibiting effective communication
Requirements
- Post-secondary Education (Degree in Engineering/Science or Diploma) or Equivalent Experience
- Hydraulic Fracturing technical experience preferred
- Flexible to work rotation and on- call (when required)
- Must have a strong Digital IQ with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and Data Acquisition software
- Working knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, technical skill, leadership techniques, and coordination of resources
- Sensitive to confidential information
