Industrial Painter

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Industrial Painter / Auto Body Prep Apprentice. This position offers hands-on experience in surface preparation, coating applications, with opportunities for growth in both industrial and auto body sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, blasting, and applying primers.
• Mix and apply paints, coatings, and sealers using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
• Mask and tape areas not to be painted.
• Apply body fillers and sand smooth for automotive refinishing.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality and uniformity.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and learn advanced techniques.

Skills:

• Experience in industrial painting or a similar role

• Experience sandblasting

• Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and their applications

• Ability to use hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes

• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting painting equipment

• Proficiency in operating a forklift or crane is desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
