PAL Airlines is currently expanding our finance team, and we are looking for a Fixed-TermStatistical Analyst to join us in St. John's, NL

Job Duties

  • Develop, interpret and implement statistical models and concepts or techniques for financial and operational planning specific to the Aviation industry.
  • Create and develop data visualizations and reporting for the senior level management and stakeholders and enhance the process of reporting on business performance.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret large data sets of various business units, focusing on significant variances, trends, and patterns within the data with ensuring data validation and quality assurance.
  • Analyze results against trends and benchmarks to find efficiency and opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders for required information and supporting decision-making.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a University program with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must be knowledgeable of financial concepts and preparation of variance analysis.
  • Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior analytical, leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have an inquiring mindset with a focus on understanding business and working as a member of a diverse team.
