We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IS/IT security team in Toronto

The successful candidate will support ongoing security activities that are essential to protect the business against cyber threats, such as network security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), risk assessment, and incident response.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform security assessments on projects, performing risk assessments to mitigate possible gaps
  • Review firewall rule requests and network/architecture changes, identifying risks and proposing security measures
  • Oversee Identity and Access Management activities, such as user lifecycle, access reviews, and RBAC
  • Manage Digital Certificates and Encryption keys
  • Assist on security incidents, working with internal groups to remediate and improve security controls
  • Implement and validate security controls based on J-SOX, ISO27001, and internal audits
  • Assist in the development and review of policies and procedures
  • Stay updated with emerging threats through continuous monitoring of threat intelligence sources
  • Deliver monthly metrics on operational security activities

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent working experience
  • 5 years of experience in cybersecurity
  • Demonstrated experiences with security assessments, network security, vulnerability management, risk assessment, and research/threat intelligence
  • Proven experience with security tools and technologies such as vulnerability scanners, AV, EDR, Firewalls, PAM, DLP
  • Knowledge in hybrid cloud environments
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a natural researcher, able to identify solutions to problems and identify improvements/optimization of internal processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 controls and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS
  • Hold an industry-recognized certification, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC
  • Programming skills (Python) to develop automation scripts/jobs

Salary Range: 84, ,806
