We are expanding our team and seeking a highly skilled Red-Sealed Carpenter with extensive residential renovation experience. This role is not entry-level; it requires an individual who can confidently deliver high-quality work, solve on-site problems, and uphold our premium standard of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-end carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, millwork installation, cabinetry adjustments, flooring, and trim work.
- Read, interpret, and work from architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure all work meets Sandy Hill Construction's craftsmanship standards and building codes.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and trades to maintain smooth jobsite flow.
- Install high-end fixtures, custom elements, and specialty materials with precision.
- Mentor apprentices or junior carpenters, providing guidance and quality oversight.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
Requirements
- Red Seal Certification in Carpentry (compulsory).
- Minimum 5–10 years of residential construction or renovation experience, preferably in luxury or custom projects.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
- Proven ability to execute both structural and fine-finish carpentry.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and professionalism with clients and team members.
