Civil Construction Project Scheduler

NACG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented scheduler to support project scheduling and controls for a major civil construction project in the Fort McMurray area. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong experience in construction management, scheduling, and project analytics. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize project schedule using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and overall timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Implement and oversee project control systems to track progress, costs, and resource allocation.
• Monitor variances and propose corrective actions to maintain project efficiency.
• Assist in resource loading for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and project optimization.
• Generate reports on project performance, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency.

Work Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience related to scheduling, project analytics and controls on civil construction projects. 
• Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Experience with Acumen Fuse Project Management Tool is considered an asset. 
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to emerging and changing priorities.
• Strong understanding of the complexities involved in scheduling earthworks activities on large-scale construction projects.

1. Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and ability to provide a recent Driver's Abstract
2. Valid CSO
3. Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness (including Bear Awareness)
4. Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
5. Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:

• Breath Alcohol Test
• Urine Drug Test
• Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment
• Audiometric Testing
• Vision Screening
