Job Description:

Our growing company is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to maintain an apartment building in downtown Kitchener. This is a full-time position (39 hours per week) involving a mix of detailed and heavy-duty cleaning tasks.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team when needed.

Schedule:

· Tuesday to Friday 11:00am to 7:00pm

· Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

· Clean common areas such as hallways, stairwells, elevators, lobbies, lounges, and washrooms

· Disconnect and replace garbage compactor bins

· Unclog and troubleshoot garbage chutes or compactors as needed

· Conduct Elevator moves by meeting residents and advising them of the move in procedure. Ensure procedure is followed.

· Pick up litter and maintain exterior grounds

· Fill softener salt brine tanks

· Handle keys and FOBs responsibly

· Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies

· Report maintenance issues, leaks, or security concerns to management (including photos via cell phone)

· Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Qualifications & Skills:

· Previous experience cleaning windows, bathrooms, elevators (stainless steel), and common areas

· Strong attention to detail and time management skills

· Ability to lift up to 44 lbs (e.g., softener salt bags)

· Comfortable using a smartphone to send messages and photos

· Dependable, self-motivated, and able to follow schedules and checklists

· Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for residents

Compensation:

· Starting wage: $18.50 per hour
