The Opportunity
We are seeking a financial management professional with strong analytical skills to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The FP&A team is a group of highly motivated finance professionals, dedicated to supporting organizational budgeting, forecasting and reporting across all operating units and capital projects.
As a key player in the operating stream of FP&A, you'll support the Manager in facilitating the annual budget process, quarterly forecasting, and ongoing financial reporting. Your insights will drive decision-making on the company's operating, financial, and business activities. You'll work both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams, promoting fiscal responsibility through meticulous financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
You'll be a key team member, working directly with budget holders, departmental managers, executives, and other stakeholders from across the organization. Your work will encompass corporate-level planning and discrete analysis on key programs and initiatives, supporting planning and decision-making at all levels.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (Operating) , you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
- Providing support, training, and expert advice to budget holders at all management levels in developing annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts, and related metrics ;
- Support ing leadership on decisions impacting business units by providing financial analysis for operating initiatives, proposals, and business cases;
- Conduct ing variance analysis for budget holders and diversional leadership, comparing actual performance to planned and historical financial results and key metrics, focusing on timeliness, risks, issues, and opportunities;
- Creat ing , enhan cing , and maintain ing robust financial and business planning models that consider multiple drivers and translate those drivers into meaningful budgets;
- Collaborat ing on FP&A process improvements, providing input to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of budgeting and reporting;
- Advocat ing and model ing understanding and promotion of cost drivers and cost control ;
- Promot ing and support ing financial awareness by providing training, advice, and assistance on financial and accounting policies, processes, and information systems functionality;
What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field
- Professional accounting designation or related advanced degree is an asset
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant finance role. Practical experience in a FP&A role is preferred
- An outside the box thinker with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop solutions by considering financial and non-financial perspectives
- Understanding of forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, articulating ideas clearly and effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and proven relationship building skills
- Leadership skills that influence business decisions as a trusted advisor
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills, with the ability to balance data analysis and information with timely decision making
- Experience with FP&A software like Adaptive Planning, an ERP system like Oracle and/or advanced analytics software (i.e. Power BI) is desirable

Additional Information
This is a regular full-time position with a target salary range of $ 1 05 ,200 to $1 31 , 5 00 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate's knowledge, experience and internal equity.
