You will help tell our story, share our members' successes, and create experiences that inspire people to connect both online and in person.

We are the Voice of Business in Cowichan, and we represent a vibrant and diverse community of more than 600 local businesses. We connect people, spark opportunities and champion the kind of place where entrepreneurs, makers and leaders can grow.

What you will be doing

Marketing and Communications

  • Keep our website current and useful
  • Write newsletters that people enjoy reading and want to click on
  • Share updates and stories on social media that encourage engagement
  • Create short videos and graphics that help messages stand out
  • Write press releases, articles, event promotions and speaking notes
  • Support consistent and professional Chamber communications

Member Engagement

  • Welcome new members and help them get connected quickly
  • Celebrate member achievements and share their stories
  • Promote the benefits of membership in simple and meaningful ways
  • Keep member information accurate and easy to access

Events

  • Help bring Chamber events to life, including breakfasts, mixers, seminars and special gatherings
  • Promote events so people know what is happening and why they should attend
  • Be a friendly and organized presence during events
  • Support major Chamber initiatives, including the Black Tie Awards and Dine and Sip Cowichan Festival

Position Details

  • Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Occasional mornings or evenings for Chamber events
  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000, dependent on experience, 3 weeks annual vacation
