POSITION TITLE: SENIOR MANAGER OF TRANSPORTATION

LOCATION: MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO

A well known and respected food manufacturer / distributor has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager of Transportation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced transportation leader. As Senior Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for establishing transportation strategy, managing the RFP process, managing KPI's and carrier scorecards. You will also be responsible for setting up and managing budgets for both carriers and fleet, and leading a strong team. The drivers are unionized, and driver management will occasionally be escalated to the senior manager, so union experience is a key requirement for this role.

The company does direct-to-store deliveries across Canada, so the transportation is quite complex. We are looking for someone experienced with TMS, who can set up and monitor KPI's. Experience managing outside carriers as well as exposure to private fleet is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:


• 5+ years of transportation management experience.


• Proven ability to bring value through strategic collaboration with a senior leadership team.


• Experienced managing both carrier relationships and/or private fleets.


• Tech-savvy, good with excel, experienced with transportation management systems, able to set up and monitor KPI's.


• Union experience and temperature control experience is a must.


• University Degree and professional designation CCLP (CITT) preferred.

SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $130,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree preferred. CCLP (CITT) or P.Log would be a definite asset.
