The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals in a clinical setting to ensure accurate and timely results.
Duties
- Conduct various laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Analyze data from tests and communicate results to physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and techniques.
- Check in patients at front desk
- Answer phone calls
- Respond to emails
- Respond to doctor requests
Skills
- Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures, with hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong phlebotomy skills for effective blood collection from patients.
- Excellent data analysis skills to interpret test results accurately.
