Stockroom Clerk

ChathamKent ON, Canada MSSC Canada Inc. Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

This position will be expected to rotate shifts(afternoons and midnights)

Primary Duties:

*Issue out storeroom inventory items

* Perform cycle counts and verification of storeroom inventories

* Perform Audits as defined by an annual audit schedule.

*Generate storeroom restocking purchasing requisitions and route on for approvals

*Receive in parts and services

*Responsible for identifying, tagging, documenting (load in storeroom management system with location) existing and new storeroom items as needed

*Ability to locate and document all items held in storerooms

*Identify, tag and relocate all usable as well as obsolete/non-usable parts/supplies in storeroom

*Send out motors, parts and other production requirements for repair and or replacement

*Maintain constant communication of critical parts that have low inventory with the buyer to avoid production downtime

*Assist maintenance and engineering groups in the preparation of project kits or ordering for planned repairs as necessary

*Maintain office supplies and any office equipment or rentals needed/requested

*Communicate effectively with user departments and suppliers for the purchase of goods and services, late/early deliveries and problems/issues that arise

*Vending administration including sending out reports to managers as required

*Work with maintenance and operations to identify counter measures for part shortages to help eliminate downtime

*Continually cleaning, organizing, tagging clearly, updating systems to advance storeroom while also providing a safe environment.

*Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

*Any and all duties as assigned

Qualifications: Post Secondary Education(must have completed a highschool diploma)

* Intermediate computer skills

*Preferably, 3 to 5 years experience in a shipping or materials environment.

*Maximo software knowledge would be an asset.

Expectations: The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to favorably interact with various organizational levels and work independently within a team environment.

This job requires shift work and overtime.
