We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our Production Team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in shaping and forming components with precision, ensuring every product meets HERD's high standards for quality and craftsmanship.

Position: Brake Press Operator

Location: 2168 Springfield Road (no bus routes)

Role Type: Full-time, Evening Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM

Wage: $21.00–$26.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain brake press machinery.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of machines and workspaces.
  • Adjust speed, pressure, and dimensions for accurate forming and shaping.
  • Inspect finished products using measurement tools to verify quality standards.
  • Label and organize components to minimize errors and downtime.
  • Perform daily machine maintenance and preventative checks.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and assist with repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Follow all safety standards, including safe lifting of up to 50 lbs. and proper use of PPE.
  • Support continuous improvement, team development, and production goals.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating a brake press or similar machinery is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using measurement tools and computerized machine inputs.
  • Capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 50 lbs. safely.
  • Detail-focused with a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
