UX/UI Designer

We are a small and highly collaborative team, looking to add a passionate and details oriented UX/UI Designer to join the Silk & Snow team. You'll play a key role in helping to shape the brand strategy and build out the brand vision. You are team oriented, versatile, collaborative, and eager to take on the different challenges that come with working for an energetic start-up.

The Role:

  • Work in a highly-ambiguous and rapidly-changing environment, where you'll need a willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever necessary
  • Design conceptual diagrams, wireframes, information architecture, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and interaction specifications for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns that scale for your team and influence other designers
  • Proactively research to understand your user's demographic and behavior
  • Follow brand styling to ensure it is consistently applied across brand experience
  • Collaborate with content, design, and product team members and other stakeholders
  • Perform testing to ensure features are implemented as intended

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience working in a UX/UI Design role (ecommerce preferred)
  • Background in design, preferably in consumer brand or marketing/creative agency
  • Must have a portfolio with UI/UX examples, preferably in retail or eCommerce
  • Expert knowledge in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the latest interaction design patterns and trends
  • Be a strong visual storyteller with a clear eye for imagery that supports brand identity
  • Be very detail oriented: the smallest of details will not escape your eye and you have unmatched attention to detail
  • Have strong creative instincts and an eye for color and pattern
  • You love working in a small team environment where you are given a lot of responsibilities and the opportunity to dictate how broad your role can be
