Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy dental office environment. This role requires proficiency in phone systems, familiarity with medical and dental terminology, and experience with electronic medical and dental records.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for dental providers.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Maintain patient records accurately using Abeldent or similar software.
  • Process patient insurance claims and verify coverage details.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining the front desk area.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the office.
  • Assist in managing inventory of office supplies and dental materials as needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Abeldent systems is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for patient interactions.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks and front desk operations is required.
