Job Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. The ECE will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children in our client's care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of childrenLead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activityPlan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of childrenAssess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff membersObserve children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisorGuide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habitsEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with childrenMay plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hoursMay supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants. Qualifications: - Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field - Current certification in First Aid and CPR - Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children - Knowledge of child development and early childhood education theories and practices - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations - Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education Working Conditions: This is a full-time, permanent position located in Ontario, Canada. The ECE will work on-site at our client's facility and may be required to work occasional evenings or weekends.
