Family Law Paralegal

Pay: CA$30,000.00 - CA$75,000.00 per year Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Laval QC office (with the possibility of hybrid flexibility in the future).Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have prior legal experience. About Our Client Our client is a respected family law firm providing compassionate and effective legal representation. They support clients through divorce, child custody, and support matters with professionalism, expertise, and care. Job Description Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, custody, and support guidelinesDraft and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, agreements, and subpoenasPrepare and review discovery requests and financial disclosures (income, assets, expenses)E-file motions, orders, and pleadings with the appropriate courtsManage case timelines, deadlines, hearings, and attorney calendarsCommunicate with clients to gather documents and provide status updatesMaintain detailed case files and organized evidence records (digital and paper)Summarize evidence, testimony, and key case developmentsSupport attorneys with billing entries, draft invoices, and expense records Qualifications Bilingual fluency in French and English (preferred)Proven experience as a Family Law Paralegal (minimum 1+ years preferred)Strong knowledge of court procedures, filing systems, and discovery processesExcellent drafting, proofreading, and organizational skillsAbility to handle sensitive client communications with professionalismProficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office SuiteCanadian citizenship preferred (valid work authorization required at minimum) Why This is a Great Opportunity Join a respected family law practice with a reputation for successOpportunity to take on meaningful, client-centered casesProfessional growth in a bilingual, collaborative environmentCompetitive compensation and benefits packageStable full-time position with potential hybrid flexibility in the future JPC-414Requirements: Note, these requirements are in conjunction with the job description but supersede what is written in the ad: 1+ years of legal exp.
