In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive medical care, perform diagnostic procedures, and deliver compassionate treatment to a diverse range of animals. Your expertise will help ensure animals receive the highest standard of care while supporting their owners through education and empathetic communication. Job description is as follows:Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess health status, diagnose conditions, and develop effective treatment plans.Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, wound repair, and other necessary interventions with precision and aseptic technique.Orthopedic surgical experience preferredAdminister vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to individual animal needs.Handle animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff.Utilize veterinary terminology accurately when documenting cases, communicating with pet owners, and collaborating with team members.Apply knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy to interpret diagnostic results such as blood work, radiographs, and laboratory tests.Assist in emergency critical care situations by providing immediate medical attention to critically ill or injured animals.DVM must be recognized by the CVMA. Must be eligible with the MVMA ( Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association).
