Our client is currently seeking reliable and committed Flaggers/Traffic Controllers to join their team for the upcoming busy season As a Flagger/Traffic Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at industrial worksites. Reporting to the on-site supervisor, you will be responsible for directing the movement of traffic, setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety protocols.Responsibilities:Direct and control the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the worksiteSet up, maintain, and adjust traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barriersMonitor and respond to changing traffic conditions to ensure the safety of workers and the publicCommunicate effectively with site personnel, drivers, and pedestrians to provide clear instructions and informationMaintain detailed records of traffic incidents and control measuresAdhere to all applicable safety regulations and company policiesRequirements:Completion of Alberta flagging certification is required Previous experience in traffic control or flagging operationsAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, noise and potential hazards associate with an active industrial worksiteStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to safety and attention to detailMust be comfortable standing, walking and lifting traffic control equipment up to 50lbs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportationMust have steel toe boots in good repair, hi vis vest, hi vis hard hat, safety glassesMust have a stop/slow paddleOur client offers a competitive hourly rate for this temporary Flagger/Traffic Controller position, with the potential for overtime pay.
