**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- Ensure Weber, Dixie, slicing lines, slicers, and Sub Pak rooms do not run out of product on the line.
- Organize, scale, scan, and temper products to run on Slicing / Packaging lines in a timely manner.
- Sort product as required.
- Prepare and transfer product to production room for further processing this is done by scanning the product into jobs using the Ross ERP System, chill product in the Chill Box until appropriate temperature is reached before delivering it to the line.
- Work in conjunction with the Product Runner and the Slicer Operator to determine the correct flow of product to ensure consistency.
- Perform inventory of the coolers at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to the Packaging Supervisor.
- Assist Product Runner to organize the cooler to ensure accurate location of the product.
- Communicate with Lead Hand and Supervisors regarding any potential quality concerns or mechanical issues.
- Ensure the appropriate product is ready for the next shift.
- Responsible for maintaining food safety standards in work responsibilities and report food safety issues to QA immediately.
- Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act by reporting all hazards, accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor.
- Follow all prescribed SOPs, rotation schedules, HACCP and GMP procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced, cold environment
- Knowledge of safe food processing practices is an asset
- Must be able to wear steel toe boots, a hairnet, bump cap, face mask, hearing protection and in some cases safety glasses.
- Good manual dexterity
- Great team-work skills
- Basic computer skills are required
- Basic math skills are required
- Ability to multitask is an asset
