Our company, HJ Machine & Pattern (HJM), is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing company based in Waterloo, ON. HJM is known for robotic, automated inspection, assembly and welding stations, gauges & fixtures. The company provides CAD/CAM, CNC and CMM services to automotive, defence, oil & gas, mining, machine manufacturing, foundries, agriculture, and other industries. It has design/manufacturing, machining, and after-market service capabilities.

1. Ability to understand blueprint drawings and GD&T. Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces

2. Willingness and ability to learn to work with metal and polyurethane quickly.

3. Ability to do woodworking efficiently and cost-effectively to produce high-quality products with tight tolerances.

4. Ability to manufacture checking fixtures and work with automated machines.

5. Ability to fit and assemble the machines/inspection gauges which require precise adjustment and assembling skills (TOOL MAKER)

6. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Other desirable skills and attributes are as follows:
1. Experience with electrical wiring for electrical panels.

2. Familiarity with ISO 9001.

3. Willingness to help with general cleaning, lifting weights and other misc shop-floor activities.

4. Experience with HAAS 3 and 5 Axis milling CNC (VF5, VF4, Mini-mill) and machining processes.

5. Ability to efficiently setup and run CNC machines to produce machine components in tight tolerances.
