**About the role**:
As the relationship manager for key strategic partners, this role is accountable for the overall relationship with a focus on partner satisfaction, growth revenue and profitability. Proactively identify opportunities for growth and work with internal and external stakeholders to drive growth initiatives. Drive additional revenue growth by identifying other new business opportunities, while also supporting both the partners and Allianz’s strategic road map delivery.

**What you will be doing**:
Manage assigned accounts:

- Provide and advocate for best-in-class service for partner accounts
- Oversee intake and delivery of partner projects and deliverables
- Collaborate internally to ensure contractual obligations are met/exceeded
- Oversee regular check-ins and performance reviews to ensure visibility with purpose
- Build relationships and develop an intimate understanding of the partners’ business and related needs
- Facilitate and lead partner on-site and/or remote visits and training sessions, including product and systems training, directly with partner advisors or in a train-the-trainer model with partner operations teams
- Oversee partner renewals and assess sales against performance targets
- Leverage data and insights to inform the client on trends, portfolio assessment, additional value add to shape the overall business and enhance profitability
- Work with internal teams to ensure processes are in place to maintain the business (eg. finance, compliance, licensing, learning & development)

Grow assigned accounts:

- Work with partners to identify opportunities for additional revenue
- Build business cases to prioritize and implement new revenue generating opportunities
- Identify other upsell and cross-sell opportunities related to partners’ business

Grow new business:

- Attend partner and industry events, and stay up-to-date on industry developments to identify opportunities for new business
- Support the growth and management of the pipeline of new business opportunities
- Nurture and develop leads that fit with existing book of partners

Build a winning culture:

- Lead, coach and develop direct-reports and team members to ensure the success of the team
- Actively manage performance and perform leadership duties as required

**What it takes**:

- College Diploma/Degree or equivalent, with background in business management and/or sales and marketing coupled with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales account/client management preferably in the insurance industry.
- Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience
- Insurance designation, such as CIP or CEBS is preferred, an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of industry, market, client, business development trends.
- Knowledge of innovative client management, sales and business development strategies, and demonstrated ability to achieve ambitious goals.
- Demonstrated success with creative problem solving, consensus building, change management and managing diverse interpersonal relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to drive client retention and growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of individuals at varying levels.
- Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and shows initiative to suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
- Experience with sales and CRM systems (eg. SalesForce) an asset
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead people, get results through others and provide coaching/constructive feedback.
