Set-Up team members are responsible for the set-up and tear-down of equipment and furnishings for events according to client expectations. This includes setting up furniture, tables, chairs, dance floors, podiums, and stages as well as configuring rooms using pipe and drape and air walls. After each function, the team is responsible for ensuring the venue is returned to its original state or preparing the venue for the next scheduled event. Set-Up team members acknowledge and respond promptly to guest requests, communicating special instructions to the appropriate department manager and/or event coordinator. All work is done by the team while observing safety and quality guidelines; wearing PPE as required.

In this position, you will report directly to the department leaders, while working closely with members of the set-up team and coordinating with other departments to deliver outstanding experiences. As an ambassador of the Centre, your collaboration will add to the successful execution of events while contributing to our local tourism industry.

This is a scheduled position with salary in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Convention Centre Corporation and the Canadian Union of Public Employees - Local 500.
