**Job Summary**
We’re hiring a **Temporary General Labourer** to assist with various tasks in our new warehouse. This role is ideal for someone physically fit, safety-conscious, and ready to jump into general labour duties like light demolition, cleanup, and helping run low-voltage cabling.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform general labor tasks including loading and unloading materials.
- Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties as required.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with demolition and removal of old fixtures or debris
- Help run data and electrical cabling under supervision
- Move materials and organize supplies
- Perform general cleaning and setup tasks
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is an advantage but not required.
- Physically fit and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Familiarity with safety practices in a labor environment is a plus.
- Basic understanding of tools and safety practices
- Steel-toed boots and appropriate workwear required
- Previous labour or construction experience an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player

**Schedule**:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (hours may vary slightly)
Some Weekends

**Compensation**:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 1.5 month

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Coquitlam, BC V3K 5Z6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
