The working conditions include indoor/outdoor tasks. Flexibility to work around morning and evening shifts is considered an asset. This position will be filing in for our** full time drivers **as and when needed.The Lead’s primary role is to efficiently receive, coordinate and process all the different types of material that we recover at our facility. The role requires to do local pick-ups with an 18" cube truck and assist drivers on jobs at customer locations. Responsibility includes but is not limited to Health & Safety compliance, maintaining the equipment, job allocation, yard and facility organization, and employee support and supervision. **Duties include but are not limited to**: - Support employees and supervisor their work to ensure that tasks are completed - Unloading/Loading materials from truck with the use of forklift, pallet jack or by hand - Relief driver (18” cube truck) - Coordinating the daily operations at warehouse including but not limited to shipping and receiving as well as material processing, in absence of operations coordinator - Operating machine equipment - bailer, paper shredder, hanger shredder, wire stripper, conveyor belt. - General labor work such as sorting, dismantling and processing mixed recyclables - Swamping - Fill in for our full time drivers as and when required - Closing of Recovery Center **Requirements**: - Forklift Certificate min. 2 years experience - Class 5 Driving License min. 2 years of driving delivery truck experience - Level 1 Industrial First Aid Certificate - Completion prior to end of probation - Strong organizational and leadership skills - Intermediate MS Office proficiency - Critical thinking and auditing skills - TDG Certificate - Completion (prior to end of probation) - WHIMIS - Completion prior to end of probation - Work independently without supervision - Take directions well with positive attitude and willingness to learn - Results oriented - Zero Waste Fundamentals Completion (prior to end of probation) - Aligns with our CLEER core values: **Citizenship | Leadership | Environment | Empowerment | Responsibility** **Benefits** - Competitive wage - Extended benefits plan for full time employees (50% covered by HSR Services after 6 months of service) - Being part of a growing company that puts people and the environment first
