**The Opportunity**

The Supply Management Team supports SAIT through the management of centralized purchasing, strategic

sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management and supply chain management to the campus.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Supply Management, the Supply Chain Intern is a student worker position to

support Supply Management team in daily purchasing administrative tasks. The role will give the Intern Student

opportunity to learn procurement services and supply chain solutions.

As a member of the Supply Management team, this position will be an active contributor in supporting the

efficiency of SAIT’s supply chain management. The Supply Chain Intern will work as part of Supply Chain Analytics team to support SAIT's supply programs and supply chain analysis.

Supply Chain Intern will also be assisting Purchasing Officers’ with their procurement workload and contract filing.

The Supply Chain Intern will have the opportunity to learn SAIT’s supply chain process and procedure and gain

good knowledge in supply chain management.

**The Role**:
- Supply Chain Management analysis and supporting Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Workload
- Supply Management Process & Procedures Review:

- Provide support to review the process and procedures of Supply Management team. Update and refresh of the document as required.
- Spend Analysis & Supply Chain KPI development:

- Provide support with development of supply chain scorecards and KPIs
- Generate Spend Analysis as required to provide business intelligence to Purchasing Team
- Purchasing workload support & market intelligence:

- Provide support to generate purchase orders and manage purchasing administration
- Research market and provide commodity intelligence to purchasing team
- Contract Filing & Vendor Set-up Support:

- Provide support to purchasing team for filing contracts and organize contract data
- Provide support for supplier qualification and review. Administer vendor set up on SAIT’s ERP system.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Currently enrolled in SAIT's Supply Chain Management Program. Enrollment in a Supply Chain Diploma is preferred
- Completed Supply Management Training and professional designation from Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) will be an asset
- Completion of Supply Chain related certifications is preferred
- Purchasing and Logistics experience is an asset
