**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure Forbes ongoing effort to improve workplace safety is carried out & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
- Lead crew on daily activities, manage concerns, provide feedback and ensure the team follows company policies and procedures
- Ensure employees performing work are deemed competent on task at hand
- Identify, bring forward, and provide input into the development of safe work practices, procedures
- Ensuring quality conformance to requirements and assigned drawings
- Complete inspection, monitor and report on crew activities to the Construction Manager or Supervisor
- Maintain accurate time records including phase codes, hours, quality reports and all other job specific paperwork
- Plan daily activities, communicate through tailboards and execute work and work with crew members to complete tasks
- Make recommendations for improvement of work methods to the leadership team at the construction site
- Travel to various project sites and office locations
- Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned
- Journeyman Certificate/Red Seal Certificate - Powerline
- Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience working as a Journeyman in the trade with knowledge of distribution systems
- Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience in a lead hand position
- Ability to lead a team of all different skill levels, lead by example, build consensus, actively listen and engage crew members
- Valid drivers license and acceptable drivers abstract is required
- Results oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to take and provide direction
- Flexible in hours worked throughout a shift and week
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
