Provide customer service to residents by taking orders, taking orders to the Chef, receiving money, and keeping track of sales for the lunch program
- Prepare coffee, tea, wrap cutlery, set up sanitization cart, and prepare the lunch station
- Cleaning duties include washing, sanitizing and storing of all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards and dishes
- Greets and serves meals to meal program participants
- Sets tables in dinning room for supper, clears and cleans tables after
- Sanitizes lunch station, lunch room, dinning room, and equipment
- Must adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Sweeping and mopping the kitchen as well as taking out the garbage and recycling
- Assisting with putting away delivered food supplies
- Assists in food preparation, including for large events, as directed by the Chef which can include washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting and chopping fruit, vegetables, and meat.
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge and experience of kitchen safety procedures
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Maintains a positive, professional approach with residents and co-workers
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Reliable and can multi-task efficiently
- The ability to work in a team
- The ability to use common kitchen equipment and appliances safely and efficiently
- The ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- The ability to stand for extended periods

**Experience**:

- Basic kitchen experience is preferred
- Food Handler’s Certificate is preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $13.50 per hour
