**The Opportunity**

Our British Columbia and Yukon headquarters is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for our Vancouver branch. You are an extraordinary multi-tasker who will provide support to administrative staff and assist the Branch Manager with additional tasks. You will handle the flow of people through the business and ensure that all branch duties and responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality, in a timely and professional manner. This includes ensuring a quality image conveyed by St. John Ambulance BC & Yukon, at all times, and consistently and effectively communicating the St. John Ambulance vision.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Assist in training and onboarding of new administrative staff and professional development of current staff;
- Be knowledgeable in all policies, procedures, services, and products to assist staff and customers with questions;
- Aid the Branch Manager in meeting targets for class schedules;
- Ensure the branch meets all requirements for health and safety;
- Oversee the reception area and greet/register students in their classes;
- Able to run the branch independently if needed;
- Utilize the CRM system when entering data;
- Assist with paperwork pertaining to students, classes, and instructors;
- Order supplies and ensure stockroom is organized;
- Provide classroom maintenance by re-stocking first aid equipment, cleaning Annie dolls; and organizing classroom set up;
- Take initiative to assist with projects outside of their branch; and
- Support instructors and volunteers when needed.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- High school diploma;
- College courses in secretarial skills/office administration preferred;
- 3+ years of experience in office administration;
- Knowledge of financial accounting practices and procedures;
- Proficient in computer programs, in particular, MS Office, internet, database and keyboard skills;
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work well independently or within a team;
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience in a leadership role is an asset;
- Experience in CRM is an asset;
- Experience in sales or retail is an asset; and
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping procedures is an asset.
