**Position Summary**
Reporting to the CISO, the Manager is responsible for leading the Information Security team in safeguarding the University’s IT and information assets, and executing the University’s cyber security plan. The Manager provides guidance, oversight, training, supervision, mentoring, and feedback to the Information Security Team members (Information Security Analysts). The Manager is also responsible for Information Security operations and cyber security planning, objectives, goals, performance measures, and results analysis against those measures. The Manager provides support and resources to the CISO in the execution of the University’s information security practice and plan that in turn are part of the overall responsibility and mission of the CISO portfolio (and in alignment with IT Strategy and University core mission (teaching, learning, and research).
The Manager is responsible for the management, delivery, and execution of the Information Security Team services.
- Security Configuration Management (including firewall and VPN administration)
- Vulnerability and Threat Management (including the vulnerability management service and managing external treat feeds)
- Security Incident Response (cyber security incident response)
- Anti-malware management (including the secure endpoint security service)
- Information Security Education, Awareness, and Consulting (training for IT staff and non-IT staff)
- Information Security Identity and Access Management (including CCID suspensions)
- Investigations and eDiscovery (including supporting UAPS, Dean of Students, and other offices’
- investigations and cases, this also includes supporting external parties such as law enforcement)
- On-Call and After-hours Support
- Ensuring there is backup and cover-off within the team across the services
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Business Administration, or related field, and a minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Industry-recognized information security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, PCIP, or equivalents relevant to information and cyber security.
- Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of information security analysis, recognized information security standards (such as NIST CSF) and best practice
- Experience in Information Security risk management, risk assessment and development and communication of security best practices
- Extensive experience in vulnerability and threat analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all information security domains (within the N
