**Job Overview**

**Duties**:

- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete excavation tasks. Mostly trenching installing culverts, digging foundations and demolition.
- Perform digging, grading, and various other activities as required for construction projects.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- load secure and haul equipment..
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Snow removal in Airdrie Alberta evenings and nights when required.

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators, skid steers, and other experience such as welding, loading equipment and towing.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment. Examples would be working with hydraulic hoses and understanding hose sizes and different fittings and diagnosing electrical components.
- Experience with grader operation, loader operation, dozer operation, Vermeer tree chipper operation, chainsaw operation and all power tool operations as well as setting up grade laser and grading. Caterpillar machinery is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a plus.
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project demands.

Pay: $21.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 60 per week
