Job Description**
Job Purpose**:
The QA Manager, will manage the QA team in the Winnipeg area (4 facilities), lead continuous improvement projects and audit production to ensure delivery on quality standards. The QA Manager will work cross functionally with the Production, Industrial Engineering, Human Resources and Product Development and Engineering teams towards achieving common objectives. The QA Manager possesses industry knowledge and has demonstrated management experience, business acumen and impeccable leadership skills to enhance the goals and expertise of the department. The QA Manager will lead the team through a changing environment. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a set of reporting metrics on Quality Performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and lead the QA finished goods and raw material teams in the 4 Winnipeg locations (Supervisors and Coordinators)
- Ensure alignment between QA FG and QA RM processes and guidelines throughout CG facilities
- Continuously improve finished goods and raw material strategies to find efficiencies and reduce non-value-added activities
- Cultivate and emphasize a prevention mindset throughout the business
- Report on Quality Performance KPIs and work with the team towards improvement
- Reduce the Cost of Quality by leading Total Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma projects
- Establish Quality Corrective and Preventative Action plans with relevant stakeholders
- Mitigate Quality risk during development process from Samples stages to Bulk Production
- Be a cross-functional partner and work closely with various functions: Product development/Production/Design/Industrial Engineering, etc.
- Develop the Winnipeg QA FG and QA RM teams to become Quality Assurance experts
- Participate in the hiring process, if need be

**Experience, Education and Designations**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Engineering, Business Administration or related program/ experience
- 5-10 years of managerial experience within apparel manufacturing industry
- Green Belt Certificate in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent
- Experience in lean manufacturing, TQM or ISO Standards
- Experience leading successful Continuous Improvement projects
- Garment manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Attributes**:

- Strong understanding of garment production methods, machinery and processes
- Knowledge of other product range (accessories, knitwear) is preferred
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems applicable to manufacturing industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to influence others and resolve conflicts diplomatically
- Ability to manage a team through changing environment
- Advanced computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Online Applications, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team player
- Be innovative, a problem solver with a can-do attitude
**Working Conditions**:

- Manufacturing environment
- Travel: 10% (Domestic only)
